Description

This was a very enjoyable project specifically designed for the Whyte Ave. Art Walk. The small canvas size allowed me to mass produce multiple pieces for consumer consumption. The very public art show was an interesting sociological experiment as to what everyday people look for in art. I discovered that most consumers love choice (one family took at least an hour to decide which one to buy) bright colours, cute animals (some didn’t like the animals holding loaded weapons) and of course bargain basement prices. After all, why shouldn’t they buy more goods to clutter their household? The subject matter ranged from animals fighting back to collaged figures with animals reacting to the interaction.
